Family Garage Sale

Last weekend my sister was having a garage sale so I decided to put a few things in the sale.  My Mom and Grandma put lots of things in as well.  My sister, her husband and baby just moved, Mom & Dad are hoping to downsize from house to boat and Grandma is getting ready to move so everyone was being quite ruthless in what they wanted to sell. I being a pack rat and lover of everything old & odd as well as having no intention of moving in the near future had to try very hard to not go home with anything but there were a few items I couldn't let sell for the dollar they were priced at.  I wasn't too bad because I definitely came home with less then what I sold.  Here are a few items I 'rescued':

I couldn't pass on the vintage dresses and the never been used beaded clutches and gloves!  I'm just keeping the Virgin Mary shell light on reserve for my sister until she has room for it.  She seemed a bit pissed off that I was taking it but it's totally funky and she was going to sell it for something like 4$!  I thought my sister Emma might like the beaded accessories or ZoĆ« will make good use of them.

Garage Sale

I hardly ever go garage sale-ing.  Like maybe once a year.  I only have so much space for things and I always find something so therefore once a year is plenty.  Anyhow the one garage sale I hit this summer was a great success.  Two fun vintage hats for the kids dress-ups and 4 retro plates for their meals all for under 5 dollars Canadian!!!.  What a deal.
