COFFEE!

It's never good to do anything in a rush! I so badly needed/wanted a cup of joe the other day but was doing several other things at once. Forgetting to put the basket in after rinsing = coffee all over the counter and none in the pot!
On visiting So Sylvie's site the other day there was a link to a song that is just so fitting to how I feel most afternoons. The Coffee Song, I immediately ituned it. I've never heard of Ralph before so nice to be introduced to children's music that's fun for adults as well.
A couple of my favourite children's albums are: For the Kids (there are two) & Nicolette Larson's Sleep, Baby, Sleep,
Well must be off. I'm doing several things at once at the moment and before one goes the way of the coffee I best be on my way.
So glad to see I am not the only one that has done that! Our coffee maker just bit the dust and so I'm using our bodum ....just seems to take more effort. Do you have a good maker? Nicolette Larson is fabulous.....Maya was soothed by her voice everytime! (me too)

I can't tell you how many times I've been in a rush, put in the water, forget the coffee, turn the machine on and come to pour my much-needed first cuppa of the day, only to find a carafe of hot water waiting for me.

Reminds me of the black elixer at Anderson Lake and the outhouse poetry that resulted... ahhh sweet memories

Hope you got your coffee after all that. Funny Nicolette Larson was part of the kids bedtime routine for years. They couldn't go to bed without it playing. I'll have to get a copy off you. Our tape was so well loved that it's now all garbled!

Hi Sarah Jane!
I'm glad you enjoyed The Coffee Song. I love those sleepy moments, trying to make morning coffee. One time I forgot to put the paper filter in the cone, and another time completely missed the step of grinding the beans first! It's that Catch 22 of needing the coffee to wake up, but not being awake enough to make coffee!
